I've been fishing with my system one 456 and 789 reels since 1986. These reels have run the gamut of wear and tear including the runs of some angry Snake River steelhead(think adrenaline rush!). I'm looking forward to many more years of fun with them.

I have both a system 1 and a system 2 that see 3 - 4 days a week 52 weeks a year of use on the White and Norfork river in Arkansas. After 5 years and many many trout, they operate as good as the day they came out of the box.

I've been fishing with the sysem one for several years now, and I couldn't ask for a better reel. It's lightweight, durable, reliable, and simple. And I love the "Zing!" sound that traditional click-and-pawl reels make when there is a fish on the line. It's a great little reel at a great price.
