The rod is great, cast wonderfully and sure feels great when fighting a smallmouth. The reel is a great reel for what your pay. The drag has held up well against some really nice small mouth and strippers. Looking forward to try it on shad next spring. The line i dont like so much as it doesnt turn over big flies all that well, but i see the money going mostly toward the rod and reel. I recommend this for anyone who is looking to pick up a heavy weight rod and keep the wallet heavy ;).
